The Alice Whitney Memorial Gallery has been a feature of the Stearns History Museum since the building first opened in the 1980's. During summer, 2009, I led efforts to create a newly-designed exhibition for the space. This included drafting a $4,000 exhibition proposal submitted to the Whitney Foundation, researching and writing exhibit text, identification of relevant objects in the museum's collection for inclusion in the gallery, accession of new donations intended for display in the space, and planning of a exhibition opening. See below for exhibition text (written by me and designed by Ann Meline), as well as photos from the opening.
